Volunteers are needed in several capacities for O Holy Night. If you are interested in helping make this community event successful, please consider signing up to help. This is an opportunity to fulfill any required community service hours. Volunteers are encouraged to bring paperwork for O Holy Night supervisors to sign. Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are welcome! Please read below descriptions to see what you may be able to help with!
Director of Logistics: this person will oversee set-up of the building on Thursday & Friday December 12th & 13th. On the day of the event, they will also oversee the ushers, as well as take-down. You will oversee a team of volunteers for set-up and take-down.
Set-up helpers: Volunteers are needed to help with set up of the Forest of Light as well as other building preparations on Thursday & Friday December 12th & 13th.
Take-down helpers: Volunteers are needed to help with take-down of the Forest of Light as well as other building cleaning after the event on Sunday evening and likely some time on Monday and/or Tuesday evening as needed.
Senior Services Outreach: this person will work with the publicity team to promote the event with senior centers, senior housing etc. across the greater Groton area.
Technology/Sound Director/Sound Equipment: this person will provide and operate sound equipment for performances throughout the performance hall.
Ushers: 20+ ushers are needed for the afternoon of the event to assist guests throughout the building, monitor the Forest of Light, and assist guests to seats.
Runners: These volunteers will be extra flexible helpers during set-up, performance and take-down. Runners will work with the Director of Logistics.
